Crop Top Cutie - Crafting Vicky

Hello everyone.  I have done another little journaling out of the box (you have to see my series on Youtube to get why I call it that).  Where I'm using for the background some recycled cereal box (very cool when you consider how much cereal we go through with 4 kids in the house!!!!

And this time I went retro!  I really love the awesome look of this digi for this.  She really reminded me of the dinner eras!  The super cute digi that I used is Crop Top Cutie

You can see on youtube how I made this.

And here's the make that I did.

Hope you like it!!!  If you want more information you can check out my blog here.

Have a fabulous Sunday and stay creative!!!  Don't forget to check out the store for some fab digis!!!

Rest in Pieces....

Sharing some pink zombie fun today!

I really loved this "Rest in Pieces" digi as soon as I saw it in the store and well I just love pink so I couldn't resist making her look a bit "softer" than a vampires would normally look!!

She has been coloured with pastel pencils which are my favourite colouring medium at the moment - you just have to be careful not to smudge your work as you are going and then spray seal at the end.
I am always happy with the "look" of the pastel pencils.

I altered a page in my black journal - a perfect background for an image like this!
I used a credit card to spread some paint over the background - no need to be neat - I wanted it to look messy!!
I fussy cut the image and used my Silhouette to cut the "tombstones" from pink patterned scrapbooking card - love them!!!

I layered all the tombstones behind the image along with a piece of scrap muslin cloth and adhered everything to the page and to finish off added 2 little white bats also cut by Silhouette!!

I'm really happy with how this looks!

Make sure you check out the store and get creating!!!
And don't forget to checkout the Facebook Group - we love to see all of your creations!!!

Embrace your inner boss(y) Bitch

Goood morning (or afternoon, depending on where you are! I'm finally back in the land of the living after my new router was delivered today, just in time to show my Inspiration card to you!
I've used HBIC from the Sellfy Store to make a clean and simple style card (heavy on the sentiment, which seems to kinda be my style) I love chopping the words up and placing them in different ways on the card, it feels fun, and hope it looks like it works well on the finished card too!

so yea.... today be all dominant and embrace your inner bossy bitch... if anyone complains, blame me!

Well you know how I love the hippie era!!!  Hence my digi for my name.  For this make I'm doing a journaling out of the box (you have to see my series on Youtube to get why I call it that).  I'm using for the background some recycled cereal box (very cool when you consider how much cereal we go through with 4 kids in the house!!!!

I am doing so much now with recycled products and it's great to be using something of this kind!!!

So here's the digi that I used so that you can check it out and play with it.

You can see on youtube how I made this.

And here's the make that I did.

I love the use of the golds mixed with the black and whites- lots of the DT have been creating with the monochrome and a POP of colour theme this month, and I have to say, this card looks fantastic with all these gorgeous layers!

when making this card, Rachel AKA Crafty Little Creations wanted to add just a pop of bright colour to this mainly monotone card... and the wording staggered all down one side!

Card created by Sue
using lovely soft shades with a POP of lime green, carried through the image and papers... isn't it a striking use of colour?

You Can Leave Your Hat On......

Hi Everyone

I'm here again to share a recently made creation using one of the new images available in the brand new colouring club set - as always sooooo many amazing images to create with!!

I've made yet again another page in my journal!
This one has lots of texture in the background as it is the back of a page I did a lot of sewing machine on - sometimes I cover the stitching with paper but it also makes great texture for your page so that's what I did for this creation!

I also added texture paste through a new stencil I bought, added ink sprays, washi tape, some rubber stamps randomly over the page and computer generated wording "you can leave your hat on".
I printed the image out larger and cut out her hat so she could stand on it for a bit of fun!
Image coloured with copic markers and also colour pencils.

Visit the Karleigh Sue Store to see the colour club pack plus all the digis available to purchase!

Hap -Pea Birthday

Hi there! Rachel with you today, showcasing one of the little clip arts from the most current monthly colouring pack over at Karleigh Sue. I thought it would be fun to make some of the clip arts the main feature on some cards, and was immediately drawn to this cute pea pod! I decided to make this a more masculine themed card, so I used some greens, blues and mustards in my colour palette.

  IMG_4221[1]
I lightened the lines of the image, then coloured with my copics, for a 'no lines' effect, and added in a cast shadow underneath, so the pea pod didn't look like it was floating! as a finishing touch, I added some triple thick to the peas in the pod, to make them really POP from the pod! don't forget too, if you do get the colouring pack, you can enter your colouring or cards over in the official karleigh sue fan group on facebook, to be in with  chance of winning next months colouring pack absolutely FREE!

for the products and copic markers involved in making my card, you can go and check out my  Blog :)

have a great day everyone!

Next you will come to the Sirens........

Hi Karleigh Sue Fans!

Today I am sharing a new journal page made with "The Sea Can't Hold Me" - available in the store!!
A great image to create with in my mixed media journal.

I coloured this "siren" with colour pencils and fussy cut.
Background of my black journal is texture paste through a stencil and then sprayed with spray inks - Lindy's Stamp Gang.

I wanted a "sea/ocean"theme so I used green and blue ink sprays along with muslin cloth, some string and fish charms.
To go with the "siren" theme I handwrote a paragraph from "The Odyssey" warning about the sirens and their singing!

Really love images like this - she has a bit of an ancient feel to her and was just perfect for this page!

Make sure you visit the store for all the great images available, new releases, packs and more!!!
And visit the blog often for lots of inspiration along with our Facebook Group!
