G'day

G'day everyone. Today for my inspiration post Im sharing a card that I made using the uber cute Karleigh Sue digi Koality Time. (Im an Aussie and I just think this is so cute). I started with a red base card and then matted with white card stock. Then I used an Aussie paper from Bella as my background. I coloured my Koala Gal with copic markers cut her out and then popped her up with foam tape. I added some glitter lettering for my g'day work and some red and silver sequins
Here are the copic markers that I used
C2,C4,C5,C7,C9,B26,B28,E33,E37,E35,E79,R22,R24,R29,R11,E50,YG23,YG67,Y06,Y08

Christening Girl - Inspirational post

Another inspirational post, this time using Karleigh Sue Christening (Girl)

Because of the nature of this beautiful image I felt it called for some lacy parchment work.
So I printed her onto parchment
(I lightened the image first as parchment work is generally outlined in white)
Then with my polychromos I added some colour to her face and hands.
I embossed the design to add the white shading to give it depth.
Perforated the whole image with my 2 needle tool then snipped her out.
On another piece of parchment I perforated and embossed a grid pattern.
then cut it out. (for more info on the grids used check my blog)
I stuck the baby on top with some hi tack glue
Embossed and perforated some flowers from another grid
and 'sprinkled' them around the card

I really enjoyed making this project.
Kind Regards
Theresa

TIME FOR SUMMER FUN!!

Hello everyone!  It's Audrey from the DT and here I am, back on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration blog with another creation to share using one of the brilliant images from Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.

Today, I am using Sassy Summer (Curly) image which can be found in Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.  This is a super fun image and as always, so much fun to color!

As anyone who has seen many of my recent projects, you may have noticed that I have been doing a lot more fancy folds.  I was at the point where I was starting to think all my cards were looking very similar, and that took away a bit of my mojo.  So, I decided to get on Pinterest and any other website I could find and get some inspiration!  This particular fold was found at Joanna Sheen shop.  It is called a zig zag 4 panel card.  I chose papers from Jillie Bean.  Image and sentiment cut with Marianne dies.  Stickers are Jolee's Boutique and sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas.

Closer up view of image

Copic colors used as follows:

Hair - E55, E25, E29
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Skirt and headband B41, B32, B34, B37, B39
Pinks RV23, RV25, RV09
Yellow YR21, YR23, YR24

Image is highlighted with Y32 and grounded with E31, E33, E35, C2

I sure hope you like how this came out and hopefully it has provided some inspiration for you:)  Remember to check out New Karleigh Sue Digi ShoppeKarleigh Sue Etsy ShoppeKarleigh Sue Facebook Fan Group and Karleigh Sue Challenge blog.  Have a great day!!

We all need HOPE

Hello everyone!  It's Audrey from the DT and here I am, back on the Karleigh Sue Inspiration blog with another creation to share using one of the brilliant images from Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.

Today, I am using We Keep Hope image which can be found in Karleigh Sue Etsy Shoppe.  This is a super fun an versatile image.  As we all know, everyone can use HOPE at any point throughout life and this image is great because it can be tailor made to represent any disease, disability, etc. that is honored by a colored ribbon.

As many of you know, my oldest daughter is Autistic and many of the ribbon cards I make are to recognize Autism Awareness, signified by the puzzle piece ribbon in bright colors.  I drew in the puzzle pieces on the ribbon and colored image with Copics.  Image then cut with Nesties and I made a fancy folded card, for which I chose DP from Doodlebug Design.  Flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, bling is from my stash.

Copic colors used as follows:

Hair - E50, E31, E35, E25
Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04
Roses - R24, R29, R46 and RV99
Blues - B91, B93, B97, B000, B21, B23, B24, B26, B28, B29, B39
Yellow - Y13, Y15, Y17, YR23, E33
Green - YG67, YG63, YG03
Orange - YR04, YR68, YR09

Image is highlighted with B60 and grounded with C2 and C4.

Christening (baby Boy)

on a colouring role last week - this is one of the images I managed to turninto an easel card.
Christening (Boy)

I was originally going to do him on parchment with some lace work..
but after printing him off on cardstock in error I went with it ;-)
Someone (she knows who she is) suggested mounting him on an easel card - something I hadnt made in absolute ages, so she talked me thru it (in fact shared one her excellent photo demos ;-)

I used Pro Markers as follows

Skin - Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush
Top/trousers - Blue Pearl, Pastel blue, powder blue

Pillow - Ivory, blender

I used white pearlesent cardstock.

2 small round white doillies from  my stash
blue button and rubbon to make a bow

You cant see it very well in the photo but ther eis a circle of glitter butterfly vellum under the button/bow

Kinds regards
Theresa

Beach Hottie

May is with us, but as of writing this the sun is still trying to break through...
So to warm us up I coloured this fantastic image from Cheri - not once but twice... ;-)

The skin and hair colours were the same for both - I still struggle with hair...  but I am only 3 months into using my pro markers..

Hair - walnut, cocoa, sandstone, satin
Skin - Apricot, oatmeal blush

Hat/towel - lime zest, soft lime, lime green
Ribbon/Bikini/Shoes - magenta, carmine, cocktail pink

Hat - sunflower, tulip yellow, buttercup
Towel - sky blue, arctic blue, powder blue, french navy, aegean
Ribbon/Shoes - lipstick red, red, berry red
Bikini - mandarin, orange, bright orange

The top card used papers that were in an old craft magazine.
The bottom was some 12x12 scrap booking papers from my stash.

The greeting down the side of the bottom card I typed & printed off on 'word'

kind Regards

Isn't she so sweet! This lovely Pixie was so easy to colour. Lovely clear lines. Printed onto neenah and coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. I have tried to show her in flight with her wings shimmering.
